Security

The secure data center is the foundation that makes it possible for Tier Four to deliver our services and solutions, and ensuring that our data centers provide the highest-level of security is a key piece of that foundation.

Our data centers feature the advanced levels of security needed to protect mission critical systems.

  • Access to Data Center through Man-Trap style entrance with dual authentication (magnetic card key and biometric identification)
  • 24x7x365 hour on-site staffed Network Operations Center
  • Digital security cameras and intercom system
  • No exposed hinges on data center access doors
  • All fiber optic services delivered through secure duct and separate physical entrances for each telecommunications carrier
  • Power delivery infrastructure, generator and diesel fuel, and HVAC in secured area

Access to a Tier Four data center is controlled by access card and biometric scanning systems. All data center entrants must be authorized by Tier Four Network Operations Center (NOC) personnel prior to entry to the facility. For additional security, entrance to all raised-floor and colocation areas requires both a biometric scan and use of the access card.

In addition to human, access card and biometric security, high-tech cameras, connected to a closed circuit digital video recording system monitor both the interior and exterior of the facility. This system provides security staff with the ability to visually monitor both inside and outside the facility at all times.
